My mom has had her Panasonic TC-P42X1 Plasma hd-tv for about 2 weeks now. She just loves the heck out of it. Thanks to Mace my mom can now watch the local channels in HD using the Quam Tuner in her tv. Heck even KBFD which is standard 480i looks even better than my digital signal.
Mace my mom says Mahalo.
No problem, glad I could help out! Now she can watch Daniel Henney in HD I guess.
In other HD news, my Xbox 360 HD DVD drive kicked the bucket. It still powers on but the 360 doesn't recognize it. Wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft sent some Xbox update to kill it, bet they don't want to support it anymore haha. Only disc I was disappointed about was the "Planet Earth" boxset I got from Amazon for $18. I thought I was getting a bargain, and I did, but I only watched a little bit of the series before the drive died. Oh well. Now they're just pretty coasters.
Not sure if you want to buy another Xbox 360 HD-DVD drive. But every so often you can find them on craigslists. Also I have seen them going for sometimes about $25 on Amazon.com Marketplace. I sold off over 100 of my HD-DVDs and then when I seen the prices really dropping about 4-6 months ago. I picked up another 125-150 more. Many of them were under $5. I also picked up some extra HD-DVD players on craigslists. I picked up a extra A2 for $40, A3 for $30, a A30 for $70. I almost scored a A35 for $70 but missed it. All of them looked brand new like they were hardly used. Not I got some backup players.
Up & Monster's Inc @ Amazon.com for $34.48 « Reply #241 on Nov 4, 2009, 12:18pm »
There is a great deal going on for Blu-ray movies "Up" and "Monsters Inc." over at Amazon.com. But both at the same time and get a additional $10 off. Final price for both is $34.48. I ordered this over 3 weeks ago with the same offer. At that total cost of my order minus the $10 off was over $43. But "Up" has continued to drop in price from $27.99 to $19.99. Both also come with the movie on Dvd as well as a Digital Copy.
Since I posted this message Monster's Inc. Blu-ray's has dropped in price. Now you can get both for $32.98. I have a feeling this is not the last time we see a price drop for Monster's Inc.
